CF™594 azide reacts with alkyne to form 1,2,3-triazole by copper(I) catalyzed 1,3-dipolar Huisgen cycloaddition. It could also undergo Staudinger ligation with a phosphine containing compound. CF™594 is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor® 594 and Texas Red ® dye, but yields much brighter protein conjugates due to its high quantum yield and exceptional water solubility. CF™594 also has excellent photostability ideal for demanding applications, such as confocal microscopy and single molecule imaging. The dye is particularly useful to combine with our blue fluorescent CF™350, green fluorescent CF™488A and far red CF™633 or CF™647 for multi-color imaging.Compatible with the NucleoCounter® NC-3000™.
