Cyanine 647 is structurally identical to Cy®5 from GE Healthcare. Cyanine 647 alkyne reacts with azide to form 1,2,3-triazole by copper(I) catalyzed 1,3-dipolar Huisgen cycloaddition. Both cyanine 647 alkyne and cyanine 555 alkyne (92100) have been used to analyze O-GlcNAcylated proteins in “2D glyco-DIGE” platform (1).
