Product Description
Mix-n-Stain™ small ligand labeling kits are designed for rapid labeling of low molecular weight (MW approx. 150 -5000) and relatively high affinity biological ligands (or substrates) without a purification step. The ligand to be labeled must contain an aliphatic amine group that is biologically inert. The amino group will form a covalent linkage with the provided reactive CF™ dyes. For example, suitable ligands or substrates include SNAP-tag®, CLIP-tag™ and HaloTag® ligand derivatives that have an aliphatic amine. For more information, please download the Mix-n-Stain™ small ligand labeling kit flyer and the product information sheet for this product. This kit is for labeling the small ligand with blue fluorescent CF™405M for surface staining of live cells. CF™405M is as bright as the spectrally similar dye Pacific Blue®, but is significantly more photostable than the latter. An additional advantage of CF™405M is that it has less spillover in the 525/50 green channel than Pacific Blue dye due to narrower emission peak, making CF™405M a superior choice in multi-color detection applications. Mix-n-Stain™ small ligand labeling kits for cell surface labeling are available in your choice of 10 CF™ dye colors for labeling ligands for cell surface targets, and three CF™ dye colors for ligands that bind intracellular targets.
